Bonnie and Clyde Photo Shooting

Filed in Engagement — March 8, 2014

I like photoshoots with it’s own theme. And I love couples, with an open mind and lots of great ideas doing something new, and not common for their invitation cards! My couple turned to me with a wish: to have some photos showing them as gangsters. So what names come to your mind? Of course – Bonnie & Clyde, most famous gangster couple ever who lived back in the 30’s.

I prepared myself by watching a documentary about them, what they were and what made these both so famous. Besides the right look (from the gifted stylist Kathrin Tollas) my couple needed the right body language to give them the look of the originals. Also the right location to make a shooting story like this one looked as real as possible. My idea was not to copy a scene, but transform it into the story. An old part of a rail station, which is out of use since many years was the perfect place. The grass is growing through it, it looks shabby and a bit dirty; simply – perfect!

I think we did pretty well. I like the photos a lot. They are fun. It was fun. Lots of!
