You enter Venice and immediately get covered with it’s charme, great italian food, architecture, opera singers and history.
Shannon&Chris were attending a wedding of friends in Italy, Lake Como, where I was also photographer. Chris contacted me before the event, and asked, if I would be interested to do a Shooting with them in Venice and also photograph his surprise proposal to his girlfriend. A live wedding proposal in one of the most romantic city in the world? What a wonderful surprise for her; and for me a unique shooting. Venice has thousands of motives with it’s old houses, walls, bridges and canals. You could go on and on and still see another perfect picture to take.

We met in the morning and spent the whole day together in venice for their “photoshooting” (so was Shannon told) Eating Ice cream and the Promenade, walking over the tiny bridges and passing stores. Venice is wonderful for photography! You dont want to stop exploring each and every little corner of it. Shannon got her proposal in a gondola – and she said Yes! Going home to their hotel they celebrated with a glas champagne to their future together.

Venice, you might go there only once – but it will charme you forever!

A Ring and a proposal – very well kept until the right moment was hereThe place to visit in Venice – the Palazzo San Marco with it’s famous inhabitantsA walk at the Promenade at the Canal Grande with a stop at Gelati Nico to share an Ice Cream. Don’t miss this out, they really are delicious!!On the Ponte di Rialto (the big Rialto Bridge) young lovers put a locker to receive eternal love. The origin of this nice tradition is not 100% sure, but probably finds it’s origin in europes Italy, FlorenceWhat a Moment! She sais yes!
