When it comes to winter my heart always makes a little jump. I love everything about winter. Snow, cold, winter coats and gloves, walking though fresh snow, hot tea & chocolate, sitting by the fire, the smell of cinnamon and orange spices, cozyness and the magic, when snow falls from sky and nature gets covered with a white blanket.
There is a rule, that “you should not post a winter wedding in summer”. True – but I have to break that “rule” right now as I don’t want to wait to share this beautiful, stunning winter wedding I was so enjoyed to photograph this January in the Swiss alps. The Hotel Guarda Val is one of my favorite places in Switzerland for weddings. You are set in nature, so peaceful and pretty, the rustic, traditional Maiensaess houses.
It was January and Switzerland had more snow than ever – 3 meters to be exact. With the sun shining the entire day it was simply perfect for the wedding party. I loved my brides dress and style – so elegant and stunning. The wedding had so many special little details that made it truly unique: the coat of the bride who was there mothers, the beautiful diamond ring who was her grandmothers, the dog who brought the wedding rings and on top an fantastic firework with music who made the day perfect. So much to capture, so much to remember. A truly wonderful day. Winter weddings. A big of magic.
