Berghochzeit im Berner Oberland

Filed in Wedding — August 7, 2015

Soul Mates. I learned a lot about them the last 5 years. Every couple has their own story to tell and no two are the same. Some started with a smile, some met over the Net, some had a long friendship ahead, some get married after 16 years and some after only 1. Some fell in love instantly and some involve second chances. The thing I learned during this time is, that none of them include the Cinderella-Style handsome Prince and a princess riding on a horse in it. Real life love stories are so much better than any fairytale could tell.

Sam has contacted me long time before his wedding. Actually, he did not even had a wedding date then. But we wanted to make sure, that I was available. There is no greater compliment for me and my work. We mailed back and forth and one Friday afternoon we sat down all together by a cup of coffee and talked about their Wedding plans. It was one of those moments, when you immediately like somebody. Both were so sweet and kind people, so happy and so in Love. When I asked them what they already booked and if the already had a time table in mind Sam smiled and said: “I just want to marry her, that’s all I know”. He got me right there…

We met a few months later for an engagement session, matching to their Wedding theme. Vintage style. With the soft evenening light, an old bicycle and a picnic basket we turned their love story into a unique session. See their photos here –> Engagement session

Their wedding day was full of so many personal details on fabolous locations. Castle Schadau and Castle Spiez who are set directly on the blue waters of the Lake Thun in Central Switzerland, the country side of Berne. Sam had a wonderful surprise for his Bride Valérie and handed 4 letters to her during preparations. She should open them on certain times at their Wedding day: at preparation, before they first meet, before ceremony, and at the end of the day. Their names and wedding date was stiched into Sam’s suit and both had many Details of their Wedding color purple in their outfits. The 2 boys from London really rocked with their Music the whole day long. Valérie looked absolutely gorgeous with her beautiful form fitting dress and her look. Another highlight was Tabea Maria-Lisa’s contribute. She prepared the flowers and the table decoration and really made us all speachless. She understands, how to combine flowers and colors together so perfectly like no other. I have seen a lot from her, but her creations always makes me stunned.

I cannot say “what a day”. It was a journey, and I was so honored to join Valérie & Sam before, during and after their Wedding. One, I  will never forget and treasure. One thing I know for sure? You’ll be seeing more of these two..their story is just beginning…

a 1000 congratulations you two!

Andrea xoxo
